It suffered from tenant abuse and neglect. Though it was only a few years old, it looked much older with many bleach stains and a few burn marks. They used a combination of dying the light areas and tufting the burned spots. The result was amazing. It looks now almost as good as new . . . or at the very least, like a clean and very very well maintained slightly used carpet. She came highly recommended to us, and we can understand why. Although in the end the tapestry-like coverlet proved impossible to restore properly due to bleeding of underlying existing dyes when new ones were applied, Larissa clearly devoted a lot of time and effort before concluding it was not possible. Not everything is fixable, but there is no question that we would go back to her in the future if we have another piece that might benefit from her artistic touch. Larissa and her crew came in and matched the color perfectly -- I wouldn't have believed that it could be done if I hadn't seen it for myself. They had been colored years ago and unfortunately over the years the stains reappeared. Issa and her crew were most professional from the moment I contacted her. From all the correspondence thru the actual recoloring she could not have been more attentive to our needs. We could not afford to replace a room of carpet so this was the best solution but I was skeptical since we had this done once a very long time ago. I could not be more satisfied or happy with the results. My carpet looks new and I am no longer bothered by the ugly stains I lived with for so long. If you want professional work by a team that is dedicated to their craft and gives 110% to having a satisfied customer then you found the right place. When we were preparing to sell our house the one thing that we knew had to be repaired or replaced was the carpets in several rooms. We took a chance and contacted The Rug Colorist to assist us in lieu of. replacing the carpets. The color on our carpet was extremely difficult to match but somehow this company was able to do it. We were amazed at the difference. We even had potential buyers view our home that asked if anybody had ever lived in the house because it was so immaculate and the carpets were so clean. Issa and her team are phenomenal!!!! They were extremely easy to work with, and their attention to detail and perfection was very apparent. A house guest had mistakenly cleaned pet vomit by scrubbing with soap and water and ended up leaving an unsightly 30” light stain encircled by a dark black border. Issa carefully applied dyes with her airbrush and cloths to darken the inner circle and lighten the outer border, and after three hours of painstaking application and constant checking from all angles achieved a nearly perfect result. Really couldn’t be happier. Her service is way beyond “carpet dyeing” and more in the realm of artistic restoration. Sisal stains are notoriously troublesome because of the natural fiber, but this talented artist can make them disappear. read less
